PRF lança Operação Nacional de Segurança Viária

A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) iniciou, na quinta-feira (14), a Operação Nacional de Segurança Viária. Engajada no Movimento Maio Amarelo, a instituição aposta na ostensividade de suas equipes em pontos críticos que apresentem risco de acidentes para coibir condutas perigosas e reduzir número de acidentes nesses locais. A Operação Nacional de Segurança Viária termina no dia 18/5, segunda-feira.

A ideia é fazer com que motoristas percebam os potenciais riscos à segurança oferecidos nesses trechos que, de acordo com dados registrados pela PRF, somam maior número de acidentes graves e vítimas fatais.

A estratégia reforça o tema do Maio Amarelo: “Perceba o risco. Proteja a Vida”, alinhada com a campanha PRF que faz o alerta de “em tempos de pandemia, se for sair de casa, respeite as leis de trânsito”.

A PRF levantou os 150 trechos de 10 quilômetros mais críticos do Brasil, com base nos acidentes graves (que têm feridos graves e mortos) e no número de mortos ocorridos entre os dias 11 de março e 30 de abril deste ano. Dentro destes parâmetros, Santa Catarina tem 16 trechos entre os 150 do Brasil. A BR- 282 que corta a Serra Catarinense está entre eles. A  Grande Florianópolis é uma das regiões mais preocupantes.

Números e acidentes mantidos

 Um levantamento da PRF comparou os acidentes ocorridos em Santa Catarina nos anos de 2019 e 2020 no período compreendido entre os dias 11/03 e 30/04.

Os dados mostram que em 2020 tivemos menos acidentes e menos vítimas, mas esta diminuição ocorreu por conta do menor fluxo devido a Covid-19. Apesar do menor número de acidentes, o número de mortes é quase igual entre os dois períodos.

11/3 a 30/4/2019 – 1.188 acidentes, sendo 266 acidentes graves, com um saldo de 1.398 feridos e 55 mortos.

11/3 a 30/4/2020 – 768 acidentes, sendo 173 acidentes graves, com um saldo de 871 feridos e 53 mortos.
